Mary College at ASU

"Mary College is the highlight of being an ASU student! This program has taught me so many lessons and skills I can use for the rest of my life! I have made close friends through Mary College and have discovered new passions. 10/10 on the Mary College at ASU experience.”

Chyanne Echeverria, class of '25

Situated in the beautiful Old St. Mary’s adjacent to the ASU Catholic Newman Center in Tempe, Mary College at ASU offers affordable and faithful Catholic higher education within the heart of Arizona State University. Through an unprecedented partnership between the University of Mary and ASU, our Catholic Studies courses fulfill ASU general studies requirements and can be taken by ASU students at significantly discounted rates.

Whether students choose to major or minor in Catholic Studies or simply take a few courses, they are invited into the transformative experience of belonging to a community of learners committed to developing their minds and fostering their faith. Our student body comprises a diverse range of backgrounds and majors, including ASU students, University of Mary students studying at ASU for a semester, and seminarians from the Diocese of Phoenix's Nazareth Seminary.

Mary College hosts a weekly student life event, Convivium, every Tuesday at 6:30pm, open to all students of ASU and beyond, and offers excursions and experiences for students enrolled in our courses (including trips to the Grand Canyon, Diamondbacks games, and an iconography retreat). We also arrange an annual Rome study pilgrimage attached to a three-credit course on culture and the humanities.
