Thomistic Institute at ASU

The Thomistic Institute is an academic student organization dedicated to the promotion and study of Thomistic philosophy and the Catholic intellectual tradition, particularly as it descends from St. Thomas.

We host academics including philosophers, theologians, historians, and Dominican friars to campus to provide public lectures and small-group seminars on various topics stemming from theology to neuroscience to happiness and the soul. In addition, members may join semesterly reading groups which study works of the Thomistic tradition or join us for weekly discussion of the Summa Theologiae. The TI at ASU strives to bring the great Thomistic intellectual tradition to the students of Arizona State University and the public at large. Membership is open to any ASU student with an interest in philosophy and an appreciation for Thomism.
